I’m sure at this point in your life journey you understand the concept of free will.
You know – the idea that at every moment of your life you have choices about whether to follow your soul or your ego, whether to act in alignment with natural law or out of alignment, whether to be happy or sad, etc.
(The power implied by that is more than most people’s minds are ready to handle.)
You might think that if you have free will, and I have free will, and everyone around us has free will, then we’re not responsible for anyone else. That since each of us can choose how we feel, we have no influence on each other.
I’ll admit, I used to think that way. In my mind it was as if we were each walking around in our own impermeable bubbles.
That is, until I learned about another natural law, beyond the Law of Attraction, that puts a twist on free will. It showed me that we’re not completed autonomous in our feelings. (You might be interested to know that children and animals are the most easily influenced. I’ll say more about that shortly.)
The Law of Projection says that you project your energy out into your environment. You might think of it as the first part of the Law of Attraction – the sending out of energy that will ultimately bring back whatever matches that vibration.
What Law of Attraction teachings leave out, however, is the idea that your energy influences what it comes in contact with. Think about that for a second, because I don’t know about you but I used to see LOA as sending out energy and bringing back whatever already matches that vibration. I never considered, from an energetic perspective, the idea that my energy might change things in order to make them match my vibration.
So when you change your thoughts and feelings and then notice corresponding changes in response, it isn’t just that you attracted something different. It might be that you attracted the same thing – let’s say, that the same opportunity came to you – but your projected energy made the opportunity more favorable. (Or less, if that’s the energy you put out.)
A current example from my life: When I’m talking on my cell phone and have a moment of resistance, like when my Accunect practitioner Laura is asking me a question during a session, the cell signal will suddenly get much weaker. Certain clients of mine do it too; I’ve had countless calls drop for no reason in the middle of client sessions. Does this ever happen to you?
And you’re not just influencing inanimate objects and spiritual forces. You’re influencing people.
Yup, the energy you put out influences the feelings and thoughts of the people around, even when you don’t say a word.
(You kinda knew this, right? I mean, you’ve seen it in action hundreds of times – and if you’re an empath you’ve felt the “land mines” of energy that other people have projected. Now you have The Law of Projection to confirm the phenomenon.)
So if your projected energy influences other people, does that mean you’re violating the other person’s Free Will?
No. And to explain it better, the level of influence you have over someone depends on their level of awareness. This influence happens on a subconscious level, so if the person you’re affecting is generally unaware of their feelings, then you could have a significant influence on them. But if they bring awareness to what they feel – that is, if they practice the things I teach you, like discerning their feelings from others’ and checking whether something is intuition or ego – then they’re more likely to notice that what they’re feeling is projected energy, not their own.
To put it another way, the twist on Free Will is that while we are all free to choose, the factors that influence our choices come from places other than our own conscious minds. They also come from our subconscious minds, which are influenced not only by our own fears and beliefs but from others’ projections as well.
And here’s another thing I’ve learned: Children and pets are the most easily influenced. I started to notice this while working with my Money Mojo clients – that when a client had a growth opportunity that she was resisting, her child or pet would suddenly get sick, requiring her to divert her attention.
When I meditated on what this was about, I received the insight that children and animals are much purer than adults. Their free will is calibrated much closer to Unconditional Love. What this means is they’re more likely to respond unconditionally to the projections they’re receiving. So even if you’re a mom of a sensitive child, like a Rainbow or Crystal, who is able to discern her energy from yours, she is likely to align with your energy out of pure love.
So if your energy says that you’re looking for a way to avoid making phone calls, for example, or getting the healing that would take you to the next level, your child or animal can read that resistance – but doesn’t know it’s resistance, just that it’s what you want – and out of pure love for you will help create a distraction for you.
In the extreme case of this, I spent about a year doing healing work for families of children with Autism and similar conditions. This wasn’t by conscious choice – I believe the kids worked their influence to send their moms to me. In every case, I was shown that the way to help the child was to do healing with the mom. And in every case the mom had something major she needed to heal (in most cases, childhood sexual abuse). It was amazing to see how the children’s behaviors (symptoms of their conditions, if you will) changed with every session I did with their moms.
So, the next time you reflexively say “It was out of my control” or “I had to take care of my kids again,” know that in truth you absolutely do have the power to take back control and change your circumstances.
